Independence committee: Committee Safeguarding Impartiality (CSI)

Impartiality is paramount to SKG-IKOB as an accredited certification organization. The Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA) is responsible for ensuring that the organization functions as it should. SKG-IKOB compiles its own inventory of possible threats to its impartiality. This list is brought up-to-date every year and items added if necessary.

A separate independence committee, the Committee Safeguarding Impartiality (CSI), assesses the list at least once a year, looking for situations in which impartiality may indeed have been compromised. If such a situation occurred, the CSI will evaluate the way in which the certification organization dealt with it and whether its actions satisfied the accreditation criteria.
